  
In the past 8 years I have obtained a degree
in Early Childhood Education and worked at elementary schools,
day care centers, preschools, and camps with children aged 2-10. My
most extensive experience is with children ages 4-6 in pre-K and
preschools classrooms and that is the focus of this website. In the
course of my career while looking for lesson plans and theme ideas
online, I noticed there was a lack of good information. The purpose
of this site is to provide teachers and parents with lesson plan and
theme ideas for the preschool age group. I started this site August
of 06 and will periodically add more lesson plan and theme ideas as
time goes by. To the left you will see links to pages with
activities and theme ideas broken up by subject area.
Along with the subject
themes pages you will see a skills checklist page. This will give a
list of the typical milestones that preschool and pre-k teachers
will use as standards to evaluate children’s developmental readiness
for kindergarten.
